1963 AFL All-Star Game

The AFL All-Star game for the 1963 season was held on January 19th at Balboa Stadium in San Diego. This was two weeks after the Chargers won the AFL Championship over the Boston Patriots. The Western division won the game, 27-24, in front of 20,016 fans. This was the final AFL all-star game played in San Diego; in future years, the game was played in Houston, Oakland, and Jacksonville.

Lance Alworth (19) had six catches for 102 yards.
Larry Garron (45) scored on a 12-yard pass reception to give the East a 17-3 lead.
